We can all breathe a sigh of relief now that Spiderman is back to being Amazing. I was a Tobey Maguire die hard but they killed that version with Spiderman 3. It was trash. Then they did the "Amazing" Spiderman which was amazing minus amazing plus garbage. So when Spiderman Homecoming came to theaters, it was like an answered prayer. We have the hero the true fans deserve now and I for one, couldn't be happier.
Spiderman was the first (Marvel) comic I ever read. When I was a kid, I would go to my Grandfather's house and make a bee line for my Uncle's room. My Mom's younger brother and I are 14 years apart so when I was growing up, I kind of acted like his annoying little brother. He was also a gifted singer and musician so he wasn't home as often when I became a preteen. I always went to his room though. Going to my Uncle's room felt like being Indiana Jones surrounded my hidden treasures. From Music to cool toys, games and comics, it felt like he had everything up there. His comic book collection was massive. Honestly, I fell in love with reading as a kid because I started reading comic books. My parents put me on punishment one time and I couldn't watch tv but it didn't bother me as much as it would've because I'd started reading so much it didn't affect me like it was supposed to lol. Anyhow, my Uncle eventually gifted me his comic book collection which I was ecstatic about. I wish he hadn't though. It was a dream come true for me at the time but I lamented getting those comics so early my entire adult life. I just wasn't responsible enough at the time to take good care of them. So I read them and lost some, some got ripped and folded, some were stolen smh... man I was just wasn't thinking. The value of those originals is something I still get sick thinking about. I actually had the comic featured on my t-shirt today which was my number 1 motivation in buying it. Still bittersweet looking at it though.

Did you ever wonder why one of Spiderman's abilities was a "spider" sense? I don't know the science but I don't think spiders had a sixth sense about danger lol. I could be wrong but I kill spiders all the time and anytime that they get away, it's because I flinched or was acting scared, not because they knew there was danger and got out the way. Idk man, it just seems silly when you think about it but I'm not gonna be that guy that says the series is corny because it's slightly inaccurate. Nope, not gonna be him. I have wondered though if the spidey sense was a mix of intuition, slight paranoia and anxiety because if so, there are people who have a real life version of it... it is me... I am people lol. Although it's probably a stretch to compare that state of mind to a spider sense, I'm doing it anyway. Then again, maybe I shouldn't think of it as that. Maybe it's a little more Batman than Spiderman. Actually it's DEFINITELY more Batman than Spiderman and I know that because I find it easier to not trust people at all in order to be less surprised when they inevitably show you why you were right to think that way. Wow, that got dark lol. Really though, that probably doesn't count because it's more of an outlook... maybe I should start doing a 1st draft before I write these so I can spare yall my crazy ideas *insert shrug emoji* haha! Still thinking about that spidey sense, I would say maybe the closest real life example I could get behind is discernment. Like the kind that have some of yall scared to go to revivals depending on the evangelist lol. Or the kind my mother displayed if I introduced her to a girlfriend hahaha!! I just got a picture in my mind of Spiderman preaching on Sunday LOL!! I can't man. I gotta end this now because I'm just tired and typing. There was a deeper point I was trying to get to but nah, we good. I wish I could get my laptop to display emojis. Also, go see Spiderman Far From Home so I can talk about it on our podcast and not have to worry about people going nuts about spoilers.
