I know what y'all are saying. "Well, well, well...what do we have here?" Oh you were supposed to blog Mr Blog man but noooooooooo, you to Balt-i-more to have biiiiiiiiig fun!" Lol nah, y'all don't care. After all, nobody reads on the weekends right? Well it has definitely been a busy few days for this guy but also a great one. Hopefully you had a great weekend as well.

First I gotta say, I have no idea how much I slept this weekend going back to...let's just say Thursday but know it was enough to be able to count on one hand. BUT, it wasn't ALL because of work. My Uncle and I went to a comic book convention over in Connecticut called Terrificon. Of course during these types of things I really have to work to keep myself from going off the wall nuts. There are so many things to do and see that you really don't know where to begin. So many possibilities. Going to a comic book convention for me is like the first time that your parents ever brought you to Toys R Us back in the day. Some of you guys are too young to remember that store but in the 80s, Toys R Us was in its full Glory. Find me a kid from that era who didn't want to grow up because they were a Toys R Us kid find me kid from that era who would rather have grown up instead of being a Toys R Us kid and I'll show you a loser lol. That song and those commercials made me feel like we had a choice like the kids from Peter Pan lol. Anyhow, I clearly didn't grow up enough not to still love comics and toys and action figures. Sweet Jesus man, I saw SOOOOO many old school toys and games and comics. My brain was on overload. Also I had to remind myself that I'm broke and can't afford to be out here buying collectibles...ok ok you got me. Not like super broke but I'm "my kids need school clothes" broke. Yeah I'm not on the top tier level of trifling (there are absolutely levels to that lol). So I had to keep talking myself outta buying things. What in the world would I have done with all those daggum He-Man action figures anyhow. Who cares that they were being sold cheap enough to had collected most of them? Nope, not me. It doesn't matter that I contemplated making myself a box fort to stop paying rent so that I could get em all. The point is I didn't. I mean, they even had Snake Mountain....SNAKE MF MOUNTAIN!!!! Do you know what I would've paid for Snake Mountain?!? Do you?? The kindergartner inside me rose up like Jesus from the grave and was like "Nigga...." You know how you and your best friend sometimes communicate without words and all you do is cut your eyes at them say "Nigga..." That's how my inner kid was looking at me but I held my ground. I prolly cried in the car but I ain't do it so kudos to me! Lolol!!! Seriously, it was tough. They had complete series of shows and cartoons that are really hard to find and I promise you, if not for the magic of responsibilities, it would've been a comic con version of Supermarket Sweep haha! I had a great time though and I know for a fact I'm a comic fan through and through because I literally already had not slept in 2 days before we got there and somehow caught a 3rs and 4th wind lol. I enjoyed myself and of course my Uncle is as into it as I am and that made it even better. My only regret is that I didn't wear one of my costumes. There were so many great ones there and I really wish I had worn one of mine. I keep my Batman costume in my car at all times (I also carry 2 light sabers in my back pack at all times except on vacation for airport security reasons) but my Uncle and I had agreed to just do tshirts this time. It was such a great positive vibes though. Like a REAL safe space for nerds to be nerds. No comic snobs or unworthy hater critics, just people having a good time, telling stories and sharing knowledge of comics and pop culture. Imagine being a Master Jedi still learning from other Master Jedi. I can't tell you how great an atmosphere that was. This of course leads to the conclusion that I need to be at more of these so I'm looking to make that happen. I'm gonna go to each one at least once. I don't know how I'm gonna make it happen but it's gonna happen. If you're a comic and movie fan you owe it to yourself to take those experiences.

See, I haven't blogged in so long I'm talking too much lol. I got so wrapped up in Terrificon that I totally flew over the tee I'm wearing today. I'm not sure if you guys were fans of MTV toons back in the 90s but I loved them. My favorite ones were Aeon Flux, The Head (found the Blu-ray of the whole series this weekend) and Beavis and Butthead. Beavis and Butthead was similar to the Simpsons in the 90s as far as being controversial. So many people wanted that show off the air lol. It was really ground breaking though. This was the only toon where they played actual music videos during the show so the episodes themselves would be about 10 or 11 minutes a piece. I'm sure MTV did that because it was called music television and so they were afraid that original content not revolving around music would upset viewers but adding the videos made it really dope and really different. Two high school age kids down for whatever and always getting into trouble probably wasn't the best message to kids either but it's the parent's responsibility to raise em to know that you don't do everything you see on TV and to recognize the difference between entertainment and real life. Now it definitely wasn't appropriate for every kid to watch but to each his own. You know your kid, what they can handle and what you want them to see and not see. Beavis and Butthead was one of those that helped open the door for other adult cartoons. There was bad language, suggestive (sexual) content, violence... the works. Then they ended up doing a movie which is still hilarious to this day. I kind of want to watch it now to be honest lol. They had a teacher in the movie that wrote a song called "Lesbian Seagull" that was hilarious. Then there was an episode of the show where Butthead was choking and Beavis saved him by accident lol. It was wild. Also, the show King Of The Hill came about because of Beavis and Butthead. It was actually something of a spin off except the Hank Hill character was Mr Anderson and a little older. Pretty cool stuff. My parents didn't really like us watching it at the time but I was already in middle school and hard headed so I watched anyway.

I hope that by this point you're making the most your Monday and setting up for a great week. I've got a lot to do myself. Between work, the comic convention and a big church meeting this weekend, I'm still a little wiped out but things are already shaping up for this week to be productive. I can feel it and I want the same for you. Also I'll have to post the shirts I wore over the weekend. That's what it's all about after all. T-shirts are my hokey pokey LOL smh, I can't resist a corny joke.

I did not include my Sunday tee because I didn't get to wear the one I out out from being busy. Plus it was pretty cool and an original of one of my friends so we'll wait on that.
