Marvel Not!!! ...it's a 4 for one

Writer's picture: AJ in real lifeAJ in real life

Sheesh it seems like it's been too long but it's only been a couple of days. Hopefully everyone who is reading this had a great weekend. Mine was pretty much the same. All the work I do and all the sleep I don't get will eventually even out but today... just ain't the day! Lol.

I owe yall like 4 tshirts from Friday to now so I'll the additional 3 I missed. By Sunday I'm usually running on an hour or 2 of sleep so everything starts feeling like an acid trip or a Matrix sequence except I'm the only one moving at the slower speed and everyone else is moving regular. Wouldn't that be awkward? An ACTUAL reverse Flash so my super (or not so super) power would be moving way slower than everybody else. Like, "I'll teach you a lesson by putting myself at an extreme disadvantage!" Hahaha!! Everybody has that one friend (maybe two) who you can't ever tell the real time something is happening if y'all are going together. You have to give them a fake time so they'll be ready early enough to get there on time.  They get mad because you told them be ready at 630 but they weren't ready until 8 and it takes an hour to get there and then they find out when y'all arrive that the event don't start until 9. I think I just got way off track just now or maybe I just got too into what I was saying because I've experienced it so many times. I'm the type of person that goes to the movies to see the WHOLE MOVIE inc upluding previews so I count up the time and factor in time to find a parking space and buy concessions. It's not a game lol. ...y'all gotta reel me back in when I do this. I have made preachers in my family so I can get long winded about any subject at any moment hahaha!!! I did beer off but my point was that I feel like a slowed down version of myself by the time the weekend is over.

Monday

I was attempting to watch Avengers: Age of Ultron in bits and pieces over the weekend when I had a chance. Watching all of the movies after seeing End game is a different experience because while looking for the Easter eggs you missed, you see that they gave a huge amount of spoilers. It got me to thinking about what they're gonna do once they start adding the X-Men and Fantastic Four into the MCU. To my knowledge, they don't really have any mutants in the MCU. It's all enhanced humans or like they say in the DC Universe, Meta humans. It's going to take some real brainstorming and writing. Quick silver and the Scarlett Witch were supposed to be Magneto's kids so they were definitely supposed to be mutants. Weird dynamic, plus Quick Silver is dead in the MCU so there's that. I don't wanna start comparing him to the Flash because I'll do that another day but watching him die again in Age of Ultron was like c'mon maaaaaan. The superheroes dying from bullets is lost on me bro. We all know it could happen but you just don't wanna see it to the ones that have actual powers. Hawkeye got jacked up twice and survived, the Black Widow fell off of the Hulk as he landed from a huge jump and she didn't even break a leg or separate a shoulder but the fastest man in the world does from bullets? Cool story bro.

Sunday

I was looking to see if maybe Jake Gyllenhaal was in the background when Tony Stark did the thing to piss him off that he explained as for why he became Mysterio in Spiderman Far From Home but no such luck. It was a long shot anyway. I still like the way that Marvel connects the dots. That's got me excited for what's next without even knowing.anything. Marvel track record with this kind of thing is good as perfect credit in my book so I trust their judgement like all of us football fans in New England trust Bill Belichick to put together a championship team.

Saturday

I just got a couple notifications from my bros about Monday Night Raw so it must be good tonight. I saw Extreme Rules last night (or at least some of it lol) and I just don't understand why WWE keeps giving Brock Lesnar the Universal title. He sucks. Dude does like 3 moves. A punch, a suplex, and the F5. He doesn't ever defend the belt consistently. We see this guy like once a month, he defends the belt maybe every 2 months and if he's not working with a great wrestler, his matches are boring...even IF it's a great wrestler sometimes. I get that you're supposed to hate the heel but I don't even have all heel type hate toward him. It's more like boredom. Triple H held the belt down like over a year back in the day but he was doing interesting things, was great in the ring, great on the mic... this ain't that lol. Far from it. I'm fatigued with Lesnar. Somebody tell Vince McMahon to chill.

Friday

Dawg, I gotta get ready for this week. Today ended really good for me and I need to keep this energy all week long. Got some good tees I can't wait to put on too. Positive vibes only is the mantra

Lastly, I've clearly been on an Avengers vibe but I had to just highlight my original from Sunday which (you guessed it) features characters from the DC Universe accompanied by a scripture. John 3:7 Marvel not I say unto thee, ye must be born again. I just used it to give the DC Universe a leg up 1) because Batman is my favorite hero EVER and 2) because they clearly need the help in terms of their cinematic universe lol. As always, if you dig the tee and would like your own, feel free to hit me up. OR, if you want to debate all things comics, LET'S ARGUE *Laughing emojis*
