So this is actually Saturday's blog and even though Saturday is the day I don't blog, I couldn't let this one slide by but I'll make it short. This tee is just too good plus it's one of my favorites. I'm definitely a DADD lol. At least I am to a certain extent. Most guys that grow up and have daughters are super OD about what they're gonna do to keep boys away from their girls. We all say stuff like, "I'm getting my gun license so they'll be too afraid to date her" or, "She's not dating until she's 35" and things like that. It's too much. There's no way we could keep up and police them until they hit their 30s lol. There's only so much you can really do. It's like defensive driving. You can't account for the crazy drivers that may be out on the road so you just go through extra precaution to make sure you can deal as best you can in case of an accident. All we can really do is have conversations with them and try to instill as much as we can to help make the right decisions. Honest conversations go a long way. You might not want to hear about everything they have to say BUT I'd rather them tell me than not so I have tried to master the art of not giving facial reactions. So I may be freaking out inside but I'm calm as a cucumber on the outside. You may not even be able to tell whether or not I care sometimes lol but part of being a Dad is being willing to hear the things you don't like and just being there for support. Nobody wants to think about their daughter going out into the dating world and truth be told it's more about us than them. Why? Because we remember us lol. I think I was listening to Charlemagne say that when you end up with mad daughters, it's because you were a hoe in a past life LOL!! ...he not wrong tho. Having a daughter is a humbling experience let alone more than 1. Not wanting others to do to your daughter what you did to someone else's will have you wide awake at night but what can you really do? I know a staple phrase in the black community is, "Don't play, I'll go to jail over that" but fam... I can't go to jail. Not never. Like I said, I hope that the wisdom soaks in so I don't have to worry about their decisions but that's the extent of our power... and for those of you who think you're gonna be able to control them through being super strict, to you I say good luck. Women are WAAAAAAAY slicker than men and as a former church kid lemme tell you, negroes become McGuyver if they have to. Mad sheltered kids wind up being very sneaky and end up not being as honest with you as you'd like because they don't want to feel judged or made to feel like they're terrible because they want to do things that everybody likes to do. So gon ahead if you want to and be rigid and overbearing but don't be all sad when you find out your daughter is Batgirl out here swinging from one building to the next in the evenings lol. You better catch that hahahaha!! Now I'm not gonna be turning a blind eye to NOTHING be it sons OR daughters. Y'all wanna do devilment, you're gonna have to do like I did and figure out a way because I'm not just gonna sit back and let it happen lol. It's not my job to make it easy for you. I PRAY that the Lord allows me to be the best cock blocker ever born. I'm trying to be a Stanley Cup level goalie out here. Olympic level cock blocking bro. NO...EASY...GOALS!!!!!! Yeah, I'm the President of DADD but I'm an Obama era President. He always had that nice exterior and we ain't know how gangsta he really was until he pushed the button and killed Bin Laden. So, if anyone who ever dates my any of my daughters reads this, no matter what year it is, work hard to keep me the smiling on tv Obama. Don't let me have to come outta character and make a boss move on ya lol. Nope, not gonna kill you bro... but I'm nicer with these hands than a pro bowl wide receiver LOLOL!!!
